A four part series of experimentation focused on the interactivity between video and sound.

As most of my work is inspired by music, the main goal of this series was to experiment with different types of video with no audio direction. Each installment is also an exploration into different visual styles and techniques to achieve diverse video textures.

The sound design was created as a reflection to what is happening on screen.

Sound design: Oskar Wesley-Smith.

Part One

Experimenting with partical-type video texture and testing different ROM Corruption techniques.

First part of a multiple series of experiments with video. As someone whos work is mostly inspired by music, these upcoming videos will consist of experiments that were created with no audio being used, as well as testing new video techniques. The sound you hear is an interpretation created after the video is finished. Focused on this one being more textured, by corrupting roms and recording/editing the footage. Sound Design by @owess1

Part Two

Focusing on using 3D objects and adding different depths to each scene.

Part Two of the series of experimentation focused on interactivity between video and sound. The video was created with no audio in mind like the first installment, i was instead inspired by experimenting with different types of video texture. The only audio indicator used was a 80bpm tick. The final audio was then created to reflect the different types of textures that were on screen. Sound Design by Oskar https://owesleysmith.cargo.site/Serial

Part Three

Focusing on the interactivity between Live Video Synthesis footage and displacement in TouchDesigner.

Part 3 of the 4 part series.

Part Four

Focusing on the Interactivity between Live Video Synth Footage and TouchDesigner, mainly on how it can be manipulated and used to trigger different systems.

The final video in a four part series focusing on the interactivity between video and sound. The video was created with no audio in mind like the last three installments, i was instead inspired by experimenting with different types of video texture. For this installment, i wanted to again focus on using live video synth footage with touch designer and testing it with different systems (including using the video to create a particle system) The final audio was then created to reflect the different types of textures.
